The first parts booklet to include the EB-2 bass was produced in January of 1965. At this point the EB-2 had just been reissued, after a break in production between 1961-63 (see EB-2 timeline). The list suggests the original 1958-60 machine heads, rather than the Kluson 538 keys fitted beyond that time, though these are listed for the EB-0 and EB-3. Likewise, the handrest (HR-655CH) is listed for these solid bodies but not the EB-2 - though a few months after this list was published (probably June 1965), it and the underbridge mute were fitted as standard on all EB-2s.

This is a 1968 Gibson EB2D. There is a head stock repair made at some point in its history. The body and rest of the neck is in great condition. There are finish checkings across the body but that's to be expected
That mudbucker in the neck is wooly! And the bridge has bite! The switches and knobs work as they should with a little scratchiness as you use them. Aside from that you won't notice it.
