Gibson G-3 bass Pricing
The G-3 came in a range of different colours (COL), and an optional maple body with gloss finish (MPL). These 'extras' cost $40-$50 on top of the alder-bodied natural satin (NS) basses, which were by far the most popular. Even more expensive were the sunburst models (SB), described over the years as just Sunburst, Tobacco Sunburst and Antique Sunburst. Prices listed below are NS/MPL/COL/SB

This Gibson G3 had a custom body and pickguard built for it then everything else was transferred to it and the work not only looks superb, it was done somewhere in the late 70's as the body and finish aged beautifully This bass is nicely setup and the playability / sound is incredible.
