Vintage advertisements for the Gibson EB2 bass
The EB2 bass was not as widely advertised as perhaps might be expected, though a number of advertisements /promotional sheets were prepared in the mid-1960s. None of the items shown below come from mainstream US music magazines, rather Gibson's own magazine 'Gibson Gazette', UK music magazine 'Beat Instrumental' and as a stand-alone sheet distributed by Gibson dealers. Original Gibson EB-2 pricing
The original EB2 prices were split by finish, with Natural and Cherry basses typically $15 above the cost of Sunburst examples. This continued until 1967, when Gibson equilibrated pricing, the only difference being for single or dual pickup models. The EB2 was discontinued in early 1970, with a significant proportion of the remaining instruments donated to the US Army in Viet Nam. The dual pickup EB-2D remained in Gibson price lists until 1972, before giving way to the Les Paul Signature bass, as Gibson's only hollow body bass, in 1973.

We minor cosmetic damages shown. There was a chip on the left side of the head when I bought it and when the truss rod was fixed there was some bubbling on the neck and damage to the head stock
