Gibson's EB3 bass shipped from mid 1961 up until 1979. A total of 14655 EB3 basses were shipped in this eighteen year period.

From 1961-1970 shipping figures did not differentiate between finish, handedness or scale. Long scale EB3Ls were certainly shipped in 1970, and are presumably included in these figures.

The rest of the seventies saw each of the EB3/EB3L variants listed separately.

The peak shipping year for the EB3 was 1973, with the last and first years, 1979 and 1961 respectively having the lowest number of instruments shipped.
