Just a small selection of musicians who have used the Gibson EB2 electric bass over the years.
Comedy act, the Three Twins. Al Douglas plays a custom order white Gibson EB2 bass, and Bill Bigger, a white Gibson ES350TD more (taken from Gibson Gazette July / August 1960) The bass is obviously an early example as it has the smaller headstock and back-facing banjo tuners. Despite the fact this bass had a custom finish, it is not a lefty - it is strung as a right handed instrument. Was it just held this way round for a symmetrical photo? Or did Al Douglas play 'upside down', Albert King style? comment
Jimmy Page with the Yardbirds and a Gibson EB2 bass; most likely a 1964 or early 1965 example. Page played bass, albeit briefly, for the Yardbirds in 1966 after Paul Samwell Smith (who played an Epiphone Rivoli) left the band.

Glenn Cornick with Jethro Tull and Gibson EB2 bass. Glenn's patronage of Gibson basses was well established with his use of the EB-3 and Thunderbird basses in the late 1960s, however his use of the EB-2 is less known - with good reason.
