Gibson EB2 circuit schematic
The single-pickup Gibson EB2 is almost identical to the Epiphone Rivoli, and electrically, there are no differences at all. The circuit schematic is shown below.
Interestingly enough, many instruments do not use the 250k tone pot, as suggested by the schematic, but use two identical 500k pots, part BA811-1053. The simplified circuit illustration below reflects this difference. When 250k tone pots are employed, they would typically be part BA811-1831
The controls and associated circuitry of the Gibson EB2 were quite simple. The single-pickup bass had just master volume and tone, and a baritone button. The pickup was a Gibson EB humbucker.
