This bass has a standard circuitry for an early sixties Gibson EB-0 bass. The loom is accessed by removing the back control plate. As with any single pickup guitar it has a very simple circuit: just a single volume control, and a single tone control, with two capacitors and an output jack. The loom also holds some information useful for dating vintage guitars: the potentiometers have a manufacture date code (the date the pot was made), which although not precisely when the guitar was made, is generally pretty close.
Below: two views of the wiring loom. Both the volume and tone pots are 500kΩ audio taper, marked 1346241, (manufacturer and date code: it signifies they were made by Centralab (134) in week 41 (October) of 1962) and BA811-1053 (part number). These early sixties Centralab pots typically had their codes stamped onto the sides of the casing, requiring removal from the bass to read - but at least they are generally not covered with solder, so are always accessible.
