Gibson have made several variations of the Les Paul bass throughout the 1990s, with several key differences from the 1960s and 1970s LPs. Firstly all are long scale (34 1/2 inch) as opposed to the 30 1/2 inch of the Les Paul bass and Triumph (The Les Paul Signature was also long scale), and none had low impedance pickups, a common feature of all the preceding Les Paul basses
