Gibson RD Bass Pricing
The RD Artist came in several finishes, Natural (with maple fretboard), Ebony, Fireburst, and Antique Sunburst - all with Ebony fretboards. The RD Standard was only available in Natural or Ebony. Fretless Artists were listed as available from 1979 in Antique Sunburst and Natural. There was no difference in price for different finish options, or fretless. The last price list to include the RD Standard was dated January 1979, the last to include the Artist, July 1980.
